Wide World Of Sports Nine’s Wide World of Sports returns in 2019 with its biggest year of live coverage. Establishing Nine as Australia’s only exclusive, premium, free-to-air sports network.

In a year of massive sports rights changes, Nine’s Director of Sport. Tom Malone, spoke at Nine Upfront about the acquisition of tennis. And the strategic value of Nine’s cross-platform suite of properties, including tennis, rugby league, cricket, netball, basketball, and golf.

Malone said Nine’s tennis push has made sports broadcasting in Australia a huge year. That transformation was driven by Nine’s strategic stance in the new media landscape, and we understood we had to be the home of the largest and best sports, exclusively carried by Wide World of Sports.

The star-studded Sydney Roosters defend their title in 2019 after defeating the Melbourne Storm in the 2018 NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final.
