The PHF delegation included the Chief Selector for the PHF and former Olympian Kaleemullah Khan, Member of the Executive Board and former Olympian Nasir Ali, Secretary for the PHF Haider Hussain, Associate Secretary for the PHF Zahid Shah, and Legal Adviser Ali Ashfaq.

Speaking at the event, SBP stated that, as part of its Talent Hunt Program, Sports Board Punjab will use all of its resources to identify young, talented hockey players from all throughout the province.

Through our Talent Hunt Program, we can identify a lot of talented children from our schools and institutions, he continued.

Furthermore, according to Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, reviving hockey is one of our top goals because it is our national sport. “Sports Board Punjab is working closely with PHF to revive hockey, which is Pakistan’s national sport. In the future, too, we’ll continue to help our national game in whatever way we can, he said.
